Welcome to Certified Anesthesia Services
Members of Certified Anesthesia Services have been providing continuous, 24-hour patient care at Sibley Memorial Hospital since 1976, but the group’s association with Sibley Hospital dates to World War II. Since then, members of the practice have formed a unique, meaningful bond with the Hospital and the local medical community. Members of C.A.S. have proudly participated in the care of several generations of area residents and their families.
In addition to providing clinical anesthesia care for outpatients, inpatients and obstetric patients, members of C.A.S. are actively involved in the hospital, serving in leadership positions on many hospital committees. Some additional responsibilities include consulting in the Intensive Care Unit and the Pre-Surgical Testing Center.
C.A.S. members have active roles in several ongoing quality improvement and patient safety initiatives. Members of the department are actively involved in in the implementation of the latest Enhanced Recovery after Surgery (ERAS) programs. They actively participate in simulation activities, and they are working closely with the hospital to improve patient satisfaction.
Several of the physicians have been formally recognized by the Johns Hopkins Armstrong Institute for Patient Safety in recent years for their contributions. Dr. Jason Rose was most recently recognized as Sibley Hospital Physician-of-the-Year for his efforts during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The C.A.S. members excited to be a part of the extended Johns Hopkins Medical Community. Johns Hopkins Medicine is one of the world’s most recognized names for healthcare clinical quality and scientific innovation.
The C.A.S. members are also happy to be part of TeamHealth. C.A.S. joined Team Health in December 2014. The association with one of the nation’s top multispecialty physician practices provides expanded resources to improve quality and provide the community with top anesthesia care. TeamHealth too is a leader in healthcare quality and innovation initiatives.
